We are seeking a communications and content specialist for a part-time position with the possibility of working remotely. The goal of the role is to support, integrate and disseminate our mission and voices of our brothers and sisters from Indigenous communities in Peru through various media. The specialist will be working closely with the head of New York City office and development team.
The Donor Relations and Fundraising Specialist will learn about all aspects of fundraising for nonprofits, through grant writing, prospect research, database management, and special-events. The successful candidate will have an interest in human rights and indigenous issues, excellent research and writing skills, will be detail-oriented and organized, and able to work independently. Interns will gain an overview of the indigenous peoples in Latin America as well as valuable insight into nonprofit operations and institutional planning and growth. Ideally, successful candidate will also possess written and spoken Spanish language capability.
The Web Development Volunteer will collaborate directly with Web Development Specialist and Communications Manager to improve web appearance, enhance the responsiveness, and design landing pages as needed. The successful candidate will have an interest in human rights and indigenous issues, proficient skills in web development, will be detail-oriented and organized, and able to work independently.
